Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Ultrasonic Testing is the non-destructive testing  process of transmitting high-frequency sound waves into a material in order to identify changes in the material's properties

Visual Testing (VT)

Visual Non-Destructive Testing is the act of collecting visual data on the status of a material. Visual Testing is the most basic way to examine a material or object without altering it in any way 

Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)

Dye Penetrant Non-Destructive Testing (also called Liquid Penetrant Testing) refers to the process of using a liquid to coat a material and then looking for breaks in the liquid to identify imperfections in the material

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

Magnetic Particle Testing is a non-destructive testing method that detects surface and near-surface defects in ferromagnetic materials. 

Eddy Current / Electromagnetic Testing (ET)

Eddy Current Non-Destructive Testing is a type of electromagnetic testing that uses measurements of the strength of electrical currents (also called eddy currents) in a magnetic field surrounding a material in order to make determinations about the material, which may include the location of defects

Radiographic Testing (RT)

Radiographic Testing is a specialized non-destructive testing method which uses either X-rays or gamma rays to examine the internal structure of manufactured components, identifying any flaws or defects.

H&B NDT partners with an experienced Radiographic Testing provider to offer this service.

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) can locate metallic and non-metallic targets, including plastics, cementitious materials and fiberglass. It can also detect trench lines if a pipe is obscured. GPR can detect pipes that do not have tracer wires, or those that are untraceable with electromagnetic locators.
